Season Opener Results
Racing in 2022! Revolutions is back at the races!
In the last two weeks, Revolutions has been up and down the country competing in Both the Morgan Challenge and the SMRC Scottish Classics.
Morgan Challenge
Tim Parsons is competing in his Primrose Yellow Morgan +4 Supersport. With his Highland Smoked Salmon logos, the flying Salmon was down at Snetterton for the opening round on the 3rd April. This was Tim’s first outing since winning the Championship back in 2018.
Coming away with a 2nd place and a 3rd place result in class. Tim should be very proud of his results after a few seasons out of the race seat. A good start to what should be a great season.
SMRC Classics
Russell and Elliot were out at the first round of the Scottish Motorsport Classics race at Knockhill on the 10th April. The first time Revolutions has been out at Knockhill for years! Russell being a past champion of this championship, was a returning face to the Classics paddock, while this was a first outing for Elliot in the championship.
Russell driving 43 MOG and Elliot driving ESK 605, these are two 1970’s Morgan +8s with very different levels of performance. 43 MOG is a highly developed car running at the very front of the field sporting an engine with over 400 BHP whereas ESK 605 is built to HSCC historic regulations and is as close to original as a race car can be. Running a 3.5L Rover V8 on standard SU carburators. Both equally fun to drive weith very different performances.
Russell and Elliot both came away with Class wins in each of the two races, with fastest lap in both. Also managing to break the lap records for each class. A fantastic result and couldn’t ask for more.
A huge thank you to Thomas Dailey for letting us drive his stunning race cars. Without Tom, we couldn’t be out there.
A great start to the race season for Revolutions!
